Yeah, this 50th anniversary stuff has no significance at all, right? WRONG!!!!!! Wonder how many 50th books and magazines we will have before the summer is out?
It is a bit expensive, but what the heck.
I like the magazine edition better than the book.
I am going to get my copy tomorrow. Been thumbing through it every chance I get.
Image on the double page with Jagger jumping and Brian in white is not from Hamburg, it's from Münster 1965. First Stones show in Germany.
the big gaps in the existence of the magazine might explain it ... er, ha ha:

Going to Barnes and Noble but that was for "59 Shades of Gray" will have to check this out. How many Books does one need? Then theres that Pam Desbarres. Oh My- I have the "Life" from 7/14/1972.

I've seen several of these kind of publicantions out and they're all the same. And hell no I don't need another Stones book. That would be beyond redundant.

I have the 1972 copy of Life w/ Mick doing the Monkey Man...white jumpsuit and all! I read it all the way to Boston, July 19, 1972, on my way to my FIRST Stones show...oh, what a day that was!!!

There are a few Beatles ones out as well and there very well could be more Beatles 50ths than Stones 50ths. The Life Magazine one mentions this website in it though. I thought that was funny.
Odd thing about this Life magazine/book - the pictures of the Stones essentially stop at...Dirty Work? And then there's a picture from I guess Shine A Light? What, did they run out of pages or just left the boring years out!? Ha ha.

I bought it. A lot of focus on pre-Jimmy Miller days. Gered Mankowicz is quoted. There were some mistakes in the texts.
I don't think there was any pix of 1973, 1976, 1981/1982 and there are just a few of the Vegas years.
