Actually, you're calculations are quite far off. The spot price of gold is $1622 right now. This means the $200000 would be 123.3 oz. of gold. As an ounce of gold is .098 cubic inches, this means that the gold Axl lost would only be approximately 12 cubic inches.

Still a lot, but hardly 12 feet long.
