When I see this - Anonymous User - what does it mean?

Well, the "anonymous user" in question appears to be (or used to be) Amsterdamned. Has he retired or got himself banned, or what?

Maybe someone didn't like his Keith/Gadahffi pics.

it says "user does not exist" if you click on their names, not when it's just sitting there on a post.
but i don't know why some people's names get left and are clickable and some turn into Anonymous Users.
maybe it's a question of how wrong-headed one's been and/or how many times :E

so maybe you get to become an Anonymous User if you quit yourself, rather than being ejected?
(seems kinda backwards, but maybe that's the case ... we should get someone to leave a sign to let us know -
