Much longer clip with original sound...

In the first video clip, did someone add some fake claps to the track? What is that at 0:50 to about 0:55 ?

Pete Rudge talking about Jagger on that ramp at 32 like it's some big deal for the man. He's still doing it at 68.
What's that Jagger clip on an old boot? "Marlene Dietrich...she still does it.."

Thank you for posting.
That's JC in the yellow talking at about 2:00, he seen earlier in the video, as well.
Alway nice to see JC.
That's Lisa Robinson at the beginning of the clip.

Stonesrule seems to have some first hand information about Elton in those days , maybe she will be kind enough to answer this interesting question. I think Keith says that Elton came on for a song in this Colorado gig and wouldn't leave the stage. He seemed kind of irritated about it. Who would leave that stage unless you were somehow forced? I'll bet Elton rocked the house , that was probably a damn good show. peace.

Mick makes Elton John look like Clint Eastwood here.

I'm sure it will have been a fantastic show with Elton.
I wonder if Keith still gets irritated by Elton sometimes?

I am of course referring to the (relatively) recent spat between Elton and Keith when Keith accused him of making a career out of singing about dead blondes!
Cant remember Eltons reply but it was equally bitchy.
Mick Jagger talked about it on his documentary Being Mick

Thats pretty harsh, even for Keith. Obviously Mr. Richards doesn't follow Sir Elton's career too closely. I can think of a couple good come back's to that. "Well Keith, that's profound coming from a guy who has made a career out of playing the songs of barely alive American black men." Maybe it's the whole Sir Elton that's got a burr under his saddle , just like the Sir Mick thing did. Elton can play it all. Got a bit too Cap't Fantastic for my tastes but his work on Honky Chateau and Tumbleweed Connection live forever in my heart. Another English lad who is infactuated with everything American, just like Mick, Keith and Charlie. lol peace.

As I recall, Elton responded that Keith was responsible for "holding back" Mick. (and the Stones?). That all Keith was listening to was Otis Redding.

Also, said, something like "look at him [meaning Keith], he looks like an ape."

After that, Keith seemed to get angry at interviewers/press that tried to keep the feud going by asking him to respond.

God I love those pre concert atmosphere. People together waiting for the same pleasure. Just a few moments like that are exciting in life for me.
Charlie has a simple t shirt just like last night in Paris, never change
Ollie Brown (that' him ?) is very tall.
We have the soundboard of this show if I remember. So Elton came on stage at the beginning of the show ?

"we know it's a bit late but we hope you don't mind if we stay"
