Exile was a lot of work, writing new "songs" for it.
And he will be in India for the Radjastan-festival at the end of Oktober.

But hasn't Mick produced movies? And he did plan a tour, that was put on hold because of a number of things, like the recession and some people's health issues. That's a lot of work.

I'm sure he is doing what he wants to do when he wants to do it, and I'd imagine 50 years of fame can have him enjoying his time on his own terms. That's a good thing.

He seems to finally have a private life with L'wren. Maybe he's tired of having his life exposed by exes and best mates. Perhaps he wants to protect his life from becoming a reality show.

A couple of months ago it was Keith who was critisized for not working, playing. showing up in pblic whenever it suited his fans. There was a reason for that. His wife was battling cancer. And he had recorded with several people. But not enough to please the unpleasant crowd... And now: Let's go for Mick, guys?! Charming. NOT.

There's always a bit of hiding from the press to build up demand for the next tour. They were overexposed from 'Shine A Light', and he's probably pulling back with Ron, Keith and even Charlie out there plenty in the public eye.

I'm not criticizing the guy. He can do whatever he wants. He's Mick f-n Jagger. It just seems unlike him. Fraid he's lost his drive.

He didn't hide in South Africa - he was quite visible on the stadiums watching football.

Else, he is already planning everything for 2011-2012.

Planning a tour, new CD, re-release of older CD's like Some Girls including extra material etc.

This takes lots of work, specially also because of more difficulty to attract audience / fully booked venues. He doesn't want to go on a tour loosing money.

Stage planning, costs of a tour etc. - does he want to have stage bigger than U2 or does he want a smaller stage setup. Will the stage be related to the 50'th anniversary and will it be anything really special, because it will be the last world tour in big stadiums and so on.

Jagger has lots of things to think about because it is basically him that does the planning.

unlike Ronnie he doesn't need to pay alimony to a wife he broke up with so he doesn't need to tour/record an album to finance that....

let him concentrate on working on the "vaults"...

Jagger pays money to his kid in Brazil. He paid a lump sum to Jerry Hall, pays money to the kid with Jerry Hall (Gabriel) etc. Of course not that much that it kills his budget, but he is not better than Ronnie in that respect.
Ronnie still did have some money after the split with Jo. He had a 75£ million fortune. I don't think Ronnie earns specially well releasing the new CD and touring, that it pays his high spendings. His desire being active is because he loves the music and his art - it's too early for him to retire. If he retired without anything to do, he would be battling the bottle again.
