Well i know this song starts and goes on with a principal riff in F#m pentatonic aon 2nd fret(so it´s relative minor to A major)...(i´ll try to tab it later to check if it´s ok for you)
I got the Emotional Rescue songbook but the chords seems wrong.... so i ask to your ears...

How do you play it?...also yo can hear it better on the www.ronniewoodradio.com on show 28,when Ronnie after play the album version plays the riff with his guitar

Well,for me i thinks that´s a way of playing the main riff (F#m chord)...so keep coming your ideas and the song breaks/chord changes

Just hit yer F#m7 at the 9th fret then slide up to an E at the 5th fret. Next is that nice little run of A6/B6/C#m. That's pretty much the first part.The other bit is you hammer on and off that same F#m7/E, then go to a big D/C#m/B. Fun song to play.

Well i tried what you wrote Tele71...have you tried to make F#m7 on second fret and E on zero fret like this? for me it´s easy and souns so good...(i think)
