What American City Has Most Enthusiastic Stones Fans?

Hardcore and casual. Any thoughts. My guess would be New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and maybe San Francisco?

The most hardcore enthusiastic Stones fans are in New York City and Chicago.

The most enthusiastic casual fans are in St Louis.

Sounds reasonable to me. Any idea how they are viewed in New Orleans? Florida?

I`m a European, but I can guess:

Most hardcore: New York City (Stones in Madison Square Garden most surely must`a been a gas.)

Most casual: Cleveland (ah, all those corporate people in suits...)

I am definitely getting senile. I should have said the United States. Oh, well, you are correct.

New Orleans, as a whole, does not care about the Stones.

Florida, eh, no big deal. At least that I am aware of.

Ft. Worth. The last two DVD's have been Ft. Worth and a combination of Ft. Worth/Houston. The Stones are trying to tell you something.

They may only be trying to tell you that they can work more cheaply in Texas than they can in other states.

New Orleans, as a whole, does not care about the Stones.

A bit ironic, since the Stones (especially Keith) claim to have drawn some influence from the music of N.O.

I'm from NYC. I always see NYC listed among the great Stones towns but I can't
agree. Unless youre talking MSG 72. Most amazing show I ever saw. Audience
literally threatening to bring the building down, jumping up and down together,
according to Bianca, backstage, everything was shaking, like an earthquake.

The only thing I can compare first hand is Vegas era. NYC with Philly with
Chicago. In general ma'am, NYC don't give a damn. Philly Babylon though,
the only show I ever seen where the audience was more ready to rock than the
Stones were (Mick had the flu). And the most beautiful vibe Voodoo Chicago.
The audience and the band re-created 1965! With 2 or 3 percent black people!
Most black people by far I ever saw at a Stones show.

So I say Chi and Philly, even though theyre cultural backwaters.

Maybe BECAUSE theyre cultural backwaters.

Incidentally, Melbourne Aus has got to be the worst. Only town I've ever had
people in FRONT of me demanding that I sit down.

I just don't think there is such a thing anymore. The main reason being that the hard, hard loyal fanbase is well into their middle age, and way too settled and sedate to be a rowdy fanbase. The newer generation has come up with the Net already in place. The Net has revolutionized r&r, because ticket buying is no more a mad rush, waiting or running outside; the shows themselves are booted and video'ed so fast that the urgency to HAVE to make the show is gone.
The the actual shows are a programmed affair. Don't stand up; don't dance; don't smoke; sing along on cue; no pushing an shoving because all can watch the video screens; corporate ticket holders.

prolly so, which then begs the question: which american corporation has the most enthusiastic fans?

New York City! Then again I can only guess as I live right outside of NYC and that's where I've seen most of my Stones shows in a sea of rabid fans. But I've also seen two shows in Philadelphia, PA where the enthusiasm was just as amped.

The Fans in Holland are the most faithfull and energetic, just one step behind Great britain. Jagger and Keef have mentioned this many times, so forget the US fans.
hahahah
