DO IT CHUCK! I saw him at Louie's Rock City one time and people started getting up on stage and dancing and security got up there and started throwing people off and Chuck says,'I ain't playin if you don't let em dance up here' and after that, everybody got up on stage. Crazy - we were bumping into the band and the equipment and he was eating it up.

Keith called him Rhythm Supreme. Hail Hail indeed. Where would we be if he hadn't been? Chuck taught us all (well, a lot of us anyway) that in Rock n Roll, rhythm is lead.

Where did you find that second picture? I have NEVER seen that one. It's a bit grainy but the guy holding the ES-355 looks like my uncle Paul and the little kid sitting would be his son Paul Jr.

It looks like the photo was taken in Wentzville on the side of what was then the concession stand. It burned to the ground in 1969.

Please let me know where you dug that one up.

That was taken by Jean-Marie Périer, I should have known. An excellent photographer. That second picture really does look like Berry Park. Further proof is he would NEVER take that 58 350-T and ES-335 out at the same time.

I had to post two of them on my dad's facebook page and give Jean-Marie photo credit. There's a really familiar one of my father standing with a pair of Ray Ban's on JM took also. It's been a favorite for a long time.

Thank for wishing my dad a happy birthday. You just made my day.
