I have actually always hated the term "classic rock". Sounds bloody boring and non-sexy, non-Stonesy that is.

So a lukewarm review from another hopeless magazine should be proof enough to judge the content and keep us from buying it, even before we have heard the whole thing?

What should they be called? Oldies? I always thought Classic Rock was pretentious, and trying to elevate pop-rock music to some lofty status. Aqualung is an oldie. Honky Tonk Women is an oldie. Revolution is an oldie. All were singles played on the radio, and on 'Classic Rock' stations to death.

sounds like it's going to be a minor disappointment then.

I'm confused now...does that mean I still buy it?

I've already preordered the deluxe and superdeluxe...I'll be minorly disappointed then, and be happy I'm not buying the wig box superdeluxe edition!

Same here, but I prefer the term "classic rock" to the term "dad rock".
