The Stones were the first band to use the B- stage.

Nonsense. B-stage is where they strip things down to a core six-piece band and get down to some serious business. Many of the best single song performances I've seen the Stones play were on the b-stage.
1) I think Ted was being funny... smile...
2) I think more than the core 6 were still playing back up parts while they were out there.... and I am not bothered by that, as long as when I was close I could SEE/HEAR when Ronnie was wailing on a lead, or Charlie was hittting the snare, etc etc thus assuring it was all live... but/and if there were more sounds to being played to "fill out" that is fine by me, I love the b stage idea... and I am happy it is widely used these days by many mnay bands, giving the folks in the cheap(er) seat a chance to see the band up close (although that may not always be a good thing

I really feel like I should know this, but I don't. So what is a b-stage? And why when I google it do I only see Stones references? I've never seen them live so I wouldn't know.
