Help with Handsome Girls!

I'm just in the process of condensing the 4 cd's into one (for the car), but really struggling to make the best selection...I'd love to hear anybody's track selections which would fit on one cd.

Can't really help you there, as I've only listened to it once since getting it a few days back, but the first song, Let It Rock, is f*cking awesome! To me that was the one that really stood out. Jagger's vocals on "....singing in the sun. Payday's coming and my work is all done.". Jolly good.

You got the Sun, You got the Moon,
and you've got
The Rolling Stones

Dude... I will gladly help with this one! Almost all of it will come from the first two discs. I will get you specific performances but here's the tracklisting...

Let It Rock
All Down The Line
Tumbling Dice
Star Star
When The Whip Comes Down (Disc 3 I believe, the one that eventually went on Sucking in the 70s)
Lies
Just My Imagination
Hound Dog
Respectable
Shattered
Sweet Little Sixteen (the version where Mick forgets to come in on time after the solo)
Brown Sugar
Jumping Jack Flash

Seriously, this is my favorite bootleg of all time and I've never made a single disc, but I know exactly which versions I will choose (just don't remember from memory, gotta hear them. I frequently play the entire box set on random on my Droid X on the way to a gig.)

Just copy the tracklist of "Lacerated", from disc 3 & 4; and you'll have "a summer romance with the Rolling Stones". ( [rs-covers.com] )
All performances featured there are terrific

I made my own compilation from H. Girls years ago. Often it's a question of taste of course.
I don't have the disc(s) with me but as far as I remember the Ft. Worth stuff (Discs 1/2) is generally quite good.

Other good/ better versions imo are:
Love in vain from Detroit (disc 3)
Far away eyes Lexington (3)
Starstar Houston (3)
Miss you Detroit (3)
Shattered Ft.Worth probably best, but all 3 are great for various reasons.
Happy Again great F.Worth, but Detroit (3) perhaps even greater!
Sweet l. Sixteen good versions from F.W., Houston (4) and New Jersey (Out on bail)
B.Sugar and J.J.Flash from Houston (4)
Lies Lexington(4)

All great stuff and it would be tempting to exchange 1 or 2 versions on the coming Texas live CD . .
Have fun

'Miss You' from Lexington (disc 4) - one of my favourite Stones performances of all time...

Gotta have Hound Dog on it! Gloriously raunchy! Bags Elvis' version by a mile.

Well, I made the compilation...think it's pretty good, but...made the tragic mistake of getting stoned while I was doing it! The result being every frigging track sounded amazing so cutting it down was a lot more time consuming than first imagined...still ended up with one cd and a good version of each track plus the tracks like Hound Dog, Happy, Love in Vain of which I only had one to choose from. I did take all your advice and in most cases you were all correct. So hard though as it's such a bloody good boot!
