why not in Altamont?
I guess I've missed something.
I see it here often, Why all the hatred of Chuck Leavell?
It's not a hatred. Some of us think he is just a little too in control of the music and drowns songs out - what the Stones need is a good pianist a la Nicky Hopkins, Stu etc, not synths and the like filling in through every bleeding song!

Because he sounds terrible with the Rolling Stones. Other than that he's just great.
Do you see the name NICKY HOPKINS anywhere in there other than in your post that defends something that was never said? There was no implication that Nicky was schmalzty.

4 keith will not play the intro of brown sugar
5 mick will not wear the pink clothes he wear with his supergroup

7 keith will not write any book anymore
8 in the program of the tour will be a picture that proves that mick don t have a little willy
9 the price of the tickets will be low.
10 it will be a farewell tour,the last concert is a free concert in the hydepark

I wouldnt describe Hopkins' piano playing as Schmaltzy! Just gool old fashioned rock n roll triads - it fitted the music perfectly. Leavell is all over the songs like a bad suit.

For those who aren't really sure just how good NIcky Hopkins was please give this a go - it's perfect. NOw imagine what Chuck would do to this and that's the reason Mr Leavell should be straight jacketed.
