Just curious if anyone bought this and if it really sounds "mesmerizing" like I saw in an ad for it.

To my ears the normal CD layer on the SHM-SACD japanese import sounds no different than the CD layer on the CD/SACD 2002 ABKCO version. No idea about the actual SACD layer though as I don't have a SACD player.

Would love to hear it but those Japanese import prices are off-putting. I have all the regular Decca Super Audio CDs that came out about 10 years ago and they all sound brighter than any other CD version.

Have you guys tried the 24 bit albums from HDTracks.com? In my opinion that's the best available recordings on the market. Only downfall is they're not on disc. But hey it's great on space. Welcome to the future I suppose.

Beggars Banquet,
Between The Buttons
Let It Bleed

in these versions. Are they better sounding than the old cd's?
