UMC to release 555 Rolling Stones Live D-CDs
Posted by: HighwireC ()
Date: May 3, 2011 19:36

YCAGWYW, but sometime a dream might become true:

UMC to release 555 Rolling Stones Live D-CDs later this year

These issues will start with the "Still Live" tour and goes on to ABB. This will be the first step, some hundred D-CD from the 60s and 70s will follow next year.

If this and some other rumors are true, only those fans, who will have bought the complete issue and listen to all those concerts will be able to get some tickets to see the Stones at their one and only 50th anniversary club concert ...

eehm, first you will have to pay some fee to The Rolling Stones Official Fan Club, of couse ...

BTW: A new Rolling Stones Album in indian summer this year? Why? There is enough old stuff and yesterday concerts to satisfy all the "real" fans in their Memory Motels ...

[ ... only a few thoughts while still waiting ... ]

...

So you have to listen to them as well? How does that work? Will we have to sit an exam afterwards and answer questions?

No...he's saying its a 'dream' - which was conveniently overlooked in the thread title...

Yeah, these misleading thread titles are getting very annoying. I usually don't bother posting in them, but come ON.

Dreamers... please take care of your thread titles from now on.

Sorry, this post is not IORR-mainstream, I see, no song-bashing, no Brian/Taylor/Wood-Discussion,
it's only a try to answer to all those "we are the better Stones" fans, who "own" the Stones and "really know" what The Rolling Stones will have to release or not.

And I'm reading this board for over ten years now, and I remember so many posters who wanted The Rolling Stones to release all their recorded concerts, like Pearl Jam did some time ago, etc etc.

Now, I want to give all those wishes some realistic thoughts:

What will happen, if all fan-demands will become true ...?

Come on, mate - you're a good guy with great info and a valued poster on here, but you have to admit that post was very confusing..

to answer your last part - a thousand different people might have a thousand different 'wishes'. It'll never satisfy everyone,

It would be nice, though. They could call them Mick's Picks.

Highwire, after ten years of being on this board, you should know better than to title a thread like this. It is misleading and completely irresponsible. Posting retaliation to the "Wood/Taylor" and other threads that you say plague this board, does not mean you post threads stating that 500 Stones concerts will be released this year. Not cool.

Is this hapeening for real or is it something you'd like to happen?

Keiths's Quiffs.
Bill's Pills.
Charlie's Darlings.
(Can't think of one for Brian)
Ron's Cons

Who would want every concert? Much as I hate the Dead, didn't they variate their song lineup a lot? Stones' concerts were almost well, written in Stone.

One pristine and complete example of each tour is all that is necessary, especially from '89 on. Each example could be expanded a bit so that additional ''one-off'' songs could be plugged into the appropriate spots in the set-list. Who needs the Hot Rocks finale x 80+ ABB shows alone, for example? I mean SERIOUSLY.

Highwire - I'm completely confused and bemused...what are you actually saying? Are you saying that this has been confirmed, or are you saying that this is what you would like to see? If it's confirmed, can you tell us where? If it's some fantasy of yours, it could have been worded a bit clearer! confused smiley

Let me get this straight. If I want to get some tickets to see the Stones at their one and only 50th anniversary club concert, I have to buy 555 live albums? At $30 per double CD, that comes to $16,650.00. That sounds about right. Not sure why I'm required to LISTEN to them, though. 555 identical versions of IORR and Tumbling Dice? I don't think I could take it!
