Brown Sugar Live - With Slide

Has Ron Wood ever used a slide on BS live. We all know what Taylor did using slide on BS on the 1973 tour.

It would be great if they´d re-arrange some songs. A slide on BS for example.

I love Taylor's slide on live Gimmee Shelters.

It wouldn't have killed them to rearrange a lot of their songs during the past tours. Had they had done what they did with "19th Nervous Breakdown" on the ABB tour to a handful of other songs...we would've been treated to something very special. Shame that they can't be bothered.

Old habits die hard...

More dopey negativity from a guy who does not appreciate a true rock 'n' roll institution...

loved the reworked 19nb....but always had the feeling that the new arrangement came about accidentally during rehearsals....just had that serendipitous feel about it. i thought it worked well, but obviously mick felt otherwise...if dylan made these kinda decisions like mick does, he'd had stopped touring decades ago....

You again, dew? You want to applaud "an institution" that charges an arm and a leg for a ticket---not my problem. Who's the "dope" here, pal?

Feel free to follow up on the subject where we last discussed it:

Loved it as well. I was mighty impressed that they'd take the chance to do that to a song. Wasn't the least surprised that it never showed up again after they played it the second time (at MSG?) on the tour...

Reworking older songs, as they did with 19NB in '05, helps keep them fresh and keeps the band engaged. After years of playing things the same way, autopilot can set in.

They re-arranged their entire catalogue for the 89/90 tours. Unfortunately they re-arranged them back to the original studio versions...

jagger playing Harp on CYHMK on the licks tour in 2002 at madison square garden was a great arrangement - right before Woody's attempt to copy Taylor's solo and triple stops.LOL

Keith's nylon-stringed electic guitar was a breath of fresh air, too in 1989/90. It worked especially well on Ruby Tuesday, Paint It Black, Salt Of The Earth and Factory Girl, imo.
