Mmmmh, just a standard blues number, not really bad not really good. Jagger should sing more laid back and not trying to sound like its 1970.

According to the interview with Ben Waters on the sleeve notes in the Jap version of Boogie 4 Stu,
All Dylan's songs were Stu's least favorite, but Watchin' The River Flow was only exception.

Interesting.

yes, Ben Waters' son is probably the youngest sax player to have recorded with 4 Stones and a former Stone and have been on stage with 2 Stones and 2 former Stones... An impressive CV at 10...

Although it does have the 1975-1993 Stones lineup reunited, it doesn't sound that way. Various parties phoning in or pro-tooling or whatever their part in doesn't create the organic Stones sound they used to get when they could bounce off each other live. It's not a bad cut. It's a great cause, but I'm a little sad they didn't come together to work on Ian's tribute.

Thanks for sharing this. I have wondered the odd choice - a Dylan song does not sound a kind of 'natural' choice for a Stu tribute album. I thought there is some story behind it.
