Back with my wife in Tennessee

When one day she called to me

"Virgil, quick, come see,

There goes Robert E. Lee!"

He seems to sing there goes THE Robert E Lee and I always wondered whether it referred to the steamboat.

Also my American history is poor but Robert E Lee wasn't a president was he?
