Reports of Mick's Death Greatly Exagerated

Another Death By Twitter...

Mick Jagger has been declared momentarily dead by the Twitter masses. "RIP Mick Jagger" became a worldwide trending topic on Wednesday, despite all signs pointing to a very much alive man. It seems the trend started after Jagger's appearance at the Grammys. Peter Rosenberg, a radio disc jokey, wrote:

wait i thought this was for actual dead people...not the living dead RIP Mick Jagger ...

less than a minute ago via web

As news is wont to do in the giant game of Telephone played on Twitter, the joke quickly became a possible news item. However, just yesterday Mick Jagger's new Web site launched and his Facebook and his Twitter feed sent out some Grammy clips.

Mick Jagger joins an illustrious group of celebrities killed by Twitter, including Justin Bieber, Aretha Franklin and Charlie Sheen.

Well if the Stones camp was wondering if they still had Q factor I guess they have the answer.

Have to have high Q factor for it to get around Twitter that fast that you are dead.

Yeah some idiot thought it would be funny to post it on Twitter. A modern day version of the Stones are old joke. Welcome to the 21st century.

One of the late night comedians made a 'Mick is Old' joke the other night. I think this has been going on since the '81 tour. The jokes are so hack. Those late night comedians better watch it or they'll become parodies of themselves.
