what was the last interesting illegal/bootleg release?

it seems that both 2009 and 2010 were no interesting years for Stones fans when it comes to new discovered live material or studio outtakes. All releases seem to contain material that has been out there before. Correct?
Was one of the Scotland 81 gigs the very last interesting 'new' discoveries?

Maybe we've hit the end of the road? Seems like there is nothing but reissues of reissues. Perfect time for The Stones to cash in officially by opening the vault. Or maybe there is no vault?

Since the Grateful Dead started putting a load of thier gigs on to the internet about nine years' ago, and the likes of the Who and Pearl Jam started to release CDs of their live shows, the whole mystery of bootlegs began to disappear.

In fact, the very last bootleg that I actually purchased was a Stones gig from the Voodoo Lounge tour.

it is true that the new stuff has died down very very much, i guess even the boot vaults have been locked down, all we get are re hashes from other labels who claim their version is an upgrade to make a sale, sort of reminds me of the old trick used by that SM cdr label

Maybe the bootleggers have retired before The Stones. That would be funny.

Seems that the revolution eats, no, not its children, but its parents. Free downloading (nearly) destroyed the bootleg market, and lets face it, bootleggers dont get unreleased studio material like Key To The Highway for free. Its not a case of a well running dry - there is still some great material out there like the Altamont soundboard, but it just doesnt find its way on boot CDs anymore. Which is a good thing for the artists and record companies, but for us fans it may well be the end of the road. Well, possibly not quite - if they tour again, I am pretty sure that many audience recordings will pop up almost immediately after the gigs, add to that the occasional radio or TV broadcast.

"there is still some great material out there but it just doesnt find its way on boot CDs anymore"

Zep fans got the new SB tape of a (awfully bad) 77 show. The label chose to press the show in tiny quantities (50?) and sell at a high price.

Not sure if it would work for us low-brow Stones fans...

Nasty Music SACD.
It has serial number. I guess it may have limited circulation.

That was all hype to begin with. The music of rock n' roll never corrupted or hurt anyone. People just finally realized it was harmless bullshit, that's all.
