I bet Keith didn't get paid to record new guitar - and it sounds like it. I wouldn't have paid him anything for that horrendous tripe he put on it - in fact, he should pay me to listen to it.
Mick Taylor probably didn't get paid to record new guitar even though Mick Jagger was actually bothered to work on something - and on the LP version it sounds like Mick Taylor wasn't paid.
The single version sounds like Mick Taylor was paid. Probably a remix of Undercover Of The Night and Rock And A Hard Place horrible disco mixes 1 through 14 on CD.
