Make that three people. 'Hold on to your Hat' is crap with stupid lyrics.

I mean, the man that wrote "I hid the speed inside my shoe' and 'You can cream on me.' and all of 'Sympathy for the devil' suddenly starts writing 'Hold on to your hat' as if he is afriad of offending housewives!? The rest of the song is just tossed off retarded Mick Jagger aping himself.

Steel Wheels is where the creative rot with the lyrics that began before actually set in.

Break the Spell is also a dull jam that had lame lrics overdubbed and was called a song. It's horrible.
Why do you guys always think the worst crap on a Stones album are the highlights. Too many heavy drinkers here...

It's one of those songs that when compared their best just make you think, "this can't be the same band...it just can't". Playing against comparable throwaway rockers like Hang Fire, Lies, Dance Little Sister, Bitch...even She's So Cold and you just scratch your head.

All of Steel Wheels just sounds overproduced and unnatual to me and like they are just trying too hard. And it pains me to say that about my favorite band. Whe it came out in 1989, I was just like.. uh oh. Sorry call me a whiner.

Compared to other songs from recent years I think it's a good rocker.
