Actually, if there was a flock of pigeons (not to be confused with Flock of Seagulls) that had nested in the rafters above the stage of the venue and was bombing both warmup acts and KoL with poop throughout their performances, I'll give them a pass. No band, not even KoL, should have to play while getting repeatedly bombed with bird sh-t. Yeah, I know the show must go on, but I'm thinking that this one's on the venue management.

Sounds like a time about 25 years ago when I parked to go to Tower Records in DC and returned to my car to find the rear window nearly covered in pigeon shit. I almost yakked whenever I looked in the rearview mirror on the way home!

A local DJ here in St. Louis mentioned these guys were drinking hard before the show where at least one of them needed an IV due to dehydration (it's very hot here right now too) and just used this as an excuse.

What a bunch of wussies. They should have powered through it and gained the respect of their fans. The two warm up acts made it. On with the show...

Absolutely. At Altamont, Mick was told "There's a guy out there with a gun and he's shooting at the stage". The band played on. In 2002, the Who's bass player of 38 years dropped dead on the eve of a tour. The NEXT DAY, they went out and found a new bass player, and only had to postpone a couple shows. And how about that string quartet on the TITANIC? They KNEW they would be dead in an hour, and they KEPT PLAYING!

The top picture is the Kings Of Leon in 2003, when they were a proper rock and roll band. The bottom picture was taken in the last year-or-so when they had already decided to ditch the rock star look and become Calvin Klein models: enough said.
