rare?

At the time, they were rare.

The longer version of Slave is hardly rare anymore, after the Virgin release - or is this a different version, the instrumental?

Don't know if it's rare but the Jump Back and Forty Licks versions of Miss You are the UK single mix/edit.

I don't think the "Brown Sugar" and "Wild Horses" alternate mixes can be described as "totally different." The basic idea is still the same. Almost by definition, one mix of the same track can hardly be totally different from another, and these aren't radical re-mixes.

don't forget that the UK LP version of Wanna Hold You had an extra verse than on the US version (not sure about the cds though)

The Virgin Collector´s Edition of Tattoo You is long out of print. So I consider
it as rare.

Collector´s Edition? It was a normal Virgin re-release. Out of print, huh? Yeah, that´s how it goes with great albums smiling smiley

Is Metamorphosis re-released?

Stereo versions of Play With Fire, Satisfaction, Cloud and Mothers Little Helper on European Hot Rocks CD's from 1985. MLH is stereo on the 2002 remasters but this version is different.

You are right, the longer versions from the Collector´s Editions
of TY and IORR are on the normal Virgin and Universal CDs, too.

STREET FIGHTING MAN on the official italian single is an early take.

TELL ME on the US single

is a 2,35 version (or 2,46.. don't remember) anyway different from the 2,52 and 3,48 of the UK Lp and from the 4,06 of the German London CD.

This '4.06' version of 'Tell Me (You're Coming Back)' - is this the version on the original Decca 'Rolling Stones' LP? I have the '84 CD and although it's longer than the U.S. single mix, it clocks in at 3.52 seconds and fades out at around 3.48 seconds - is this the 'longer' version?

Not quite. It's an alternate mix with different vocals. It's on the remastered Singles Collection from 2002, so it isn't rare anymore.

I've always wondered about the album "The Rolling Stones - In Concert: Incl. 22 live tracks" Where are those tracks from - and who released it?

And how many songs are on the album (vinyl): "Songs from the Rolling Stones Movie Gimmie Shelter" and who released it?

Those albums are presented on the inner sleaves of the original 60s albums, as well as on Metamorphosis, so I reckon it's Decca?

"In Concert" is a repackage of Get Yer Ya Yas Out and Got LIVE If You Want It.
This it's a Japanese only release.
