It will be a two years mammoth world tour only in stadiums.

Live Nation and Stones wants to present in their fans, the most spectacular show ever. The first thoughts for the stage has already begin.

Tour dates are about to anounced till end of November. The 2011 leg probably will held in America and next year in Europe. The band wants to play in cities and countries thah never been in the past or has many many years to go.

I really don´t want to see the most spectacular show ever. I´m still interested in the music, thats why I don´t go to stones concerts anymore.

Strike, I totally agree with you, but if they want to sell many expensive tickets they need to announce all that spectecular blah blah.

unless mickscarey says it's a done deal, i won't believe it.

We'll all moan about the ticket prices,the ticket sales procedures, the set lists, etc, etc, etc..

But we'll all attend and have a thoroughly good time...just like we always have.

The curious thing is the "farewell tour" label.
Is it just the last big tour...or will the band officially split as a working entity when it's over ?

I'm quite surprised that such an announcement would ever be forthcoming...whatever their real intentions for the future.

This is ALL BULLSHIT! No satement, NO news, NO tour (THIS YEAR)! Negotitaions were postponed due to Ronnie's Faces tour stint. A new meeting is set for 1st Q 2011. There ARE songs or at least worked out song ideas for a new album for next year and a tour will follow.

Yeah, one more unsignificant spectacle Cohl tour.. But I admire the very telling honest remark of "final farewell tor". The Stones have been doing farewell tours since 1989 without, of course, claiming so, but playing like regards the well-known expectations that it is the last time you can hear all those classic hits from 1964 to 1981 (when the band really matter musically) with the BIGGEST STAGE you ever seen with, of course, the most colossal fireworks ever seen, etc.

Yeah, of course, we all going to see our heroes for the very last time (like always) because addicted we are, because we supposed to be "real fans"....

Hell no. For the first time ever I think I seriously skip this "farewell tour". I might go see the pre-concert party in some cool place, to see the fellow fans, but I think I am not really eager to see the "the most spectacular show ever".. I @#$%& have alraedy seen it way too many times.

It sounds like they finally will be heading off to my city at last.
I can imagine there are a few venues that can be filled with a hundred people or so for a sweaty, energetic and greatest rock and roll evening ever!

They will defenitely do a last tour and it has to be soon since time an age is flying. If they do a last tour Mick will make a gigantic full stop. Of course stadium tours and of course in countries they left out in the past cause they don#t want to play in front of emty seats.
