Yes, the Stones have one, and while it is rather poorly run, we did get some free stuff from time to time. I'm wondering if there are other bands, besides The Who and REM, who regularly provide their fans with exclusive fan club only music? And by that I mean physical CDs/DVDs, not downloads. Thanks! VL13
i never got any 'free' stuff when i joined, prior to 2002/03 and then again 05/06/07. And i never received the membership items i did pay for, either. No cap, no dvd, no f£4king poster. No nothing.
What did this 'fan club' send you for free, may i ask?
Pearl Jam has an annual holiday 7 inch single, which recently has been coming out as much as 6 months after the holiday season is over.
U2 does 1 fan club CD per year. Usually it's just the audio taken from a recently released live DVD, but it's still cool to have on CD.
Frenz.com which covers all of the Crowded House/Split Enz/Neil Finn/Tim Finn configurations doesn't give a free CD, but continually makes fan club only CDs available for purchase, usually at least a couple per year.
