No, they are both form the same class......The Beatles act as middle class and The Stones as they were maybe added a bit naughtiness

the Beatles were working class, except Lennon when he lived with his auntie Mimi. Mick's background certainly sounds like middle class to me.

Didn't I read a quote (I think from Bill) who said that only he and Charlie were really working class, whcih is why they got angry when Mick affected a Cockney accent.

according to Geoff Emerick, it was the same with the other three Beatles and Lennon. Except it wasn't cockney! In fact liverpudlians found it annoying that the Beatles exaggerated their accents, since they didn't speak like that when they lived in Liverpool. What a funny bunch, these entertainers...

i first saw the quote from Tom Wolfe on the back cover of bill's book rolling with the stones. love it!

yes. By about 200 miles.

Liverpudlian - Liverpool (also known as Scousers)
Cockney - London
