Has Mick ever gone up to a fan at a show and asked them to come up on stage with him..like Bono and Bruce Springsteen and a few others have done before?

In Hamburg 2003 he gave me an autograph on the way back to the main stage.
Some eye contact was inevitable. smiling bouncing smiley

Its cool when Iggy does it!

Mick makes eye contact, I have caught his eye a few times and once he gave me a thumbs up! Sent a chill down the spine like a teenage girl thrill...

This Bono and Boss dancing with a crying fan is so pathetic and
un-rock-n-rollish -- leave it to those 2.

The only fan who tried it got Keith´s guitar over his head.
That says all.

sorry tootough, lots tried, some succeeded. Thrilling film of them being overrun in Germany and numerous other occasions on their early tours. They were a blitzkrieg that tore through the youth. Awesome!

Iggy likes to have more than "a" fan on stage:

Exactly - in the same way U2 playing a song being a mixture of several Stones songs. Like if it was a potpourri band...

Mick has become an ordained minister so that the Stones can sell wedding packages on their next tour. For a price, Mick will marry you and your sweetie right there on the stage.

I think Bono and Bruce would do it, really.

Hahaha. smiling smiley Seriously, this might happen one day at rollingstones.com
They would have standard wedding package, delux wedding, and super deluxe wedding.

so this thread isn't really about whether or not mick has asked a fan to come up on stage, this is really a bono/springsteen bashing thread. as if THAT hasn't happened here before.

I bet if the Rolling Stones would pull a similar stunt, you´d probably scream
like a girlie for more of that same song and dance!

You can definitely catch Mick's eye - if you're close enough. I think it's CW who's actually the most aloof onstage

Even funnier to see a Stones fan denounce another act's gimmickry as being 'un-rock n roll'.

Next tour, expect to see the chance of winning a 10-second onstage grind with Mick during Honky Tonk Women being part of a ballot for the Fan Asylum package. $100 for a ticket on top of your already great value $3,000 package to add to your 'free' laminate and the dry roasted peanuts provided in your roped off VIP area. You read it here first.

Amazed they havent thought of it before now.

I remember one time I saw them at RFK stadium, and I was in the upper deck, but directly in front of the stage, and there was a couple of pretty empty sections where I was at, and every time he'd run to one side of the stage, I'd run over there and imitate him, eventually I caught his eye, and he would cut short theatrics on one side and run to the other, and I'd run over there too, and he's continually doing this, and you can tell he's getting pissed off, doesn't know what to do because I'm mimicking the whole thing and at the end of the song he throws his hand up and says, 'Y'ALL ARE A BUNCH OF BITCHES!!'. I laughed for about a half hour after that. Man I was tired. That bitch can run his ass off grinning smiley

Yeah but overcharging your fans and putting on crappy shows is very rock & roll? Like the Stones do?
