Ok, this is a dodgy subject to talk about. I'm not posting this topic for entertainment. And I'm also NOT promoting drugs here. I'm just curious...

Drugs and the Rolling Stones... nothing new there. But which member did use what kind of drugs...?

* Mick Jagger - marihuana, coke?
* Keith Richards - heroin, marihuana, coke...?
* Brian Jones - marihuana, uppers, downers...?
* Bill Wyman - ???
* Charlie Watts - heroin...?
* Mick Taylor - marihuana, heroin...?
* Ron Wood - marihuana, heroin, coke?
* Ian Stewart - ????

Let's not forget acid. Mick, Marianne, Keith, Anita and friends were tripping to Dylan's Blonde On Blonde when they got raided at Redlands in 67. (Not a bad album to trip to, from distant memory!!!)

Keith was found with acid on him after his crash on the M1 near Aylesbury coming back from one of the May 76 Bingley Hall, Stafford gigs.

And Brian. Well Brian allegedly took so much acid that his middle name might as well have been Syd.

Is Bert Richards considered a drug? Didn't Keith say that when they were young they used to take female menstrual relief pills. Not sure what that would do for ya.

Acid played a huge role for Keith, Brian and Jagger...you've also overlooked mandrax or quaaludes and a whole host uppers and downers.

Ian Stewart had a serious golf addiction. And a bacon & eggs habit.

Ronnie Wood has more issues than the ones listed. For instance, he can't go anywhere without his espresso machine.

Bill Wyman has an obsessive compulsive disorder in that he's constantly checking his bank balance.

The latter addiction might have been fatal.

Well, I see that in the meantime you've broadened the topic to psychical problems.

hey guys, DiamondDog7 requests that we cease with the jokes and keep this issue serious!
DiamondDog7, here's what i'll do for ya. i will talk to the respective doctors of each individual Rolling Stone and i'm sure they'll let me have a gander at their medical charts, history of physical check ups, blood tests, disclosures during psychological therapy sessions, etc... and that'll get to the bottom of your query. sound good? great smiling smiley

Psychical problems ? What are those - fortune tellers that give their clients the wrong prediction due to a clouded crystal ball ??

He seemed to have a weird predeliction throughout the 80s. Maybe he spent time at a special rehab facility since then. Or was it the costly divorce that cured him in the end ?

Psychical problems ? What are those ... ??

You mentioned one, even using the current diagnostical or better said psychological jargon: "obsessive compulsive disorder", concerning old Billy boy, who imo had (and still has?) another more serious psychical problem (especially as for his victims) that I wouldn't describe by using psychologists' jargon.

Are you saying that psychiatric jargon would be more appropriate in his case ?

Back in those days menstrual pills contained codiene.

They knew what they were doing, even back then.

Wait for the DSM-V soon to come out.. Lots of IORR members will be diagnosed with
Autism.

That is if they submit themselves to some basic tests - not very likely as the majority is too busy keeping up with new threads that pop up on this board every day of the week.

I'm afraid that in this case it would be jargon that is not allowed here. Use your fantasy to give that jargon a proper name.

Anita wasn't at Redlands at the time of the raid. I agree. Brian took a lot of acid. He was already having problems emotionally and the acid made the problem much worse.
