The pre-show band in Copenhagen '07 was Toots & The Maytals. That was the best warm-up band I ever heard, and it was suitable to hear that before The Stones came on and delivered a kick-ass show. Great night with two great bands.

Ehhh, is the question what kind of music to listen to before the show? As in, before you even get there, in your car or whatever? Or the opening act? You either listen to the opening act or not - that is the only two choices. Based on "suitable" I'm not sure I understand the question. Or is it what is a preferred opening act? Lenny Kravitz over Bryan Adams anyday. Living Colour was awful.

I tend to listen to the music of the band I'm going to see before I get to the venue. So when it's The Cult, I blast The Cult. When it's the Drive-By Truckers, I blast DBT. And so on.

Is that what you mean?

skipstone - if the question is what do i listen to before a show then I am with you I always listen to the artist I'm going to see on the way to get me pumped up!

That's how I understood it. Doesn't that make sense? What, are you going to listen to Genesis before going to see AC/DC? Or Chicago before going to to see The Rolling Stones? Har har....

Over the past few tours I've made it a point to have silence or listen to classical music the day of the show...it makes the impact of the show that much stronger...of course, nothing but Stones after and for the next few days...

Oh my god, i think they were horrible, everything sounded the same. I had to listen to that crap four times during the scandinavian shows 2007. I even walked out from my seat in Helsinki because i couldn´t stand listening to them.
