If he's still looking at iorr, this is just to record my own appreciation for all the stuff he has shared with us so generously, and to hope that his disappearance is temporary.

Yes, I love that blog, and visited there just a few days ago. Hope it's just temporary. Lots of fantastic stuff there, I especially like all the promo stuff.

Like Urbansteel, I have also been in touch with Honestman.
His reasons are nothing to do with any technical difficulties, but he has asked me not to go into any details.
Suffice to say that he now finds his presence on this board untenable due to certain "trolls" or as UrbanSteel more accurately describes then "scum".
I'm not going to name names, but if you look at the last page of his "The most amazing picture of a Rolling Stone Thread", you might get an idea.
Honestman's contributions to this board have been immense and a constant pleasure not just to me but to many others too.
His blog was one of the finest on the web, a true labour of love that took time, patience and care and we all poorer for it's demise.
Hopefully he will be back with us in the fullness of time, but in the meantime we must respect his decision.

Ok,I see why he feels threatened. That was a very stupid comment. If that's a joke, it's not a very good one.

That's horrible that someone messed with his stuff or did something malicious. I hadn't looked at that photos thread in a very long time-contributed one photo a long time ago that I love, but turns out is not very rare--but just went over now, and see some of the photos are just staggeringly beautiful and amazing. And also many had been taken down. It's very, very sad that Honestman is gone. I've been on iorr for 1 year (active for about half that time) and have always been inspired by his posts. Very sad. I don't understand why people do things like whatever it is the "scum" have done in this case

I have seen many photos courtesy of Honestman that I haven't seen before, and I thank him for all those posts, I hope he feels able to continue again.

Its not good, there are a lot of people here that know a hell of a lot more than I do regarding the stones - no matter how many books I have- and I enjoy reading their posts and expanding my knowledge.We should all be on here for the reason that we all share a common love of the rolling stones- the trolls need to find another site and leave us to continue our passion and keep the good guys here.
