The new Apple gadget looks amazing.
Great thing to keep all your music, videos / movies,
books and magazines wich are being develop especially
for the I pad. Applications also are being made
especially for this. Can't wait till march.

I read it won't be possible to multitask, ie surf the internet and listen to music at the same time... Except for that, it looks good

Saw the demo yesterday and it is a very clever gadget but I did think what would I actually use it for.

I listen to music on my ipod, record deck or Mac Mini with itunes. I don't have lots of digital photos. I watch movies on my 32inch widescreen TV. Would i really want to carry an i-pad around with me. err no

successful doesn't necessarily mean that it's a great device. apple isn't thinking out of the box with the ipad, the device cannot do anything new - it's all there already before and less limited (ipad has no multitasking, no flash player, no screen suitable for actually reading). great marketing and design, obviously anywhere, this is a stones forum and obviously you can spend your money on whatever you like f

I agree, my family owns 3 windows pc's, a windows server, and a macbook. love them all.

On a side note, have built 4 pc's this month and used solid state drives for the OS drive. Highly recommend them! a little pricey, but the performance gain is tremendous.

There are many industries and business that relay fully on the PC plataform.
But like someone said before :

PC's are for all the things you have to do.
Macs are for all the things you want to do.

Im in advertising / design. All Mac.
My clients are mostly PC's

That's kind of how I feel. I don't need an iPhone because I have a cell phone I like and an iPod touch I am happy with, I don't need to watch movies on my computer because my girlfriend bought me a lcd tv for my man-cave, and as far as computers go I have a desktop that works just fine.

Apple technology is definitely amazing, but they're attempts to keep rolling everything into one device doesn't hold a lot of practical interest for some people (once you get past the hype they so ingeniously generate).

The iPad is expensive, heavy, fragile and permanent.

What the iPad replaces ?

That's right: nothing.



I am a Frenchie ,as Mick affectionately called them in the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1977 .

It replaces the money from your pocket in Apple's pocket SwayStones........ha ha ha
