SOON IT WILL BE ELEVEN ... Rolling Stones Career Has Spanned 10 U.S. PRESIDENTS
Posted by: schillid ()

This election is pathetic!
Can't wait for this to end!

Then we'll finally see the better person + better candidate become the next US president.
And she'll actually be able to deal with other real serious issues.

Two errors here. Nixon took office on Jan. 20, 1969, making Beggars an LBJ album. Reagan took office on Jan. 20, 1981, making Emotional Rescue a Carter album.

Good catch...
I already knew about the Beggars Nixon/Johnson thing...

As a young American Stones fan soaking it all in back then... I always associate Beggars with those Nixon-years albums.

Someone can fact check: I think Beggars Banquet came out in late 1968... ? Just after Nixon won the election in November, but just before he was inaugurated in January 1969.

Carter/Reagan thing ... dunno ...
either way's cool

I think the release date for Beggars was Dec. 5, 1968, a month after Nixon was elected, but six weeks before his inauguration.

Considering how fast a president ages in only eight years, I think the Stones' have done remarkably well in forty-eight years!

As far as royalty goes, only 2 kings (since 1951) over here- a way better effort then all the cabinets we have had.

True, but the most dramatic change in Keith's appearance happened between the Bigger Bang Tour and 50 and Counting.
