This is a follow-up to my previous post entitled "Ya Yas Project Revisited" from a week or so ago. Myself and several fellow Stones fans from another board have crafted a very generic petition that went up yesterday and should appeal to the masses. Please keep in mind that we may not get complete consensus about what should and should not get released from all Stones fans which is why we crafted the petition the way we did. You can access this petition at the following weblog link: [rollingstonespetition.weblog.com] Once you access this link, all you need to do is submit a comment. It does not have to be lengthy but a simple statement stating that you the undersigned subcribe to the petition, adding your name and country of origin.. The other folks and myself who crafted this petition are taking a proactive stance.. Once again, it is our goal to get archived Stones material (studio/live) released to the general public.. when we have gathered a sufficient number of responses, we will forward this petition to the Stones organization and/or their respective record labels....We need your help to make this a reality...We would love to see the majority of Stones fans who visit this board sign on to our petition... I have received some e-mails from folks who claimed that they had difficulties signing on to the petition site and posting a comment...when you access the petition site, go to the bottom of the page, click on entries which will bring you to the next page. Scroll down on the left side and find Rolling Stones petition, click on it and follow the comments on the next page and you will be able to add yours....

Since we started our petition a couple days ago, we've been getting a steady stream of signatures...thank you to all who have contributed from this board. We are encouraging Stones fans (and there are many) from around the world to get involved. Talk to others, spread the word on other sites, etc.. Obviously, the more signatures we get, the more of an impact it will make towards demonstrating to the powers that be that there is a significant market for this material...

good idea I guess, but it would have been easier to use a website dedicated to petitions. would have been more suitable than creating a blog for it, imho
