Hey guys, most of us have seen this footage in c*cksucker blues and Video Rewind; what is the Rosco Show? And where is this Brown Sugar filmed? Did they use that curtain anywhere else?

I'd love to know where that footage came from as I've never seen it on any boot DVD. Probly one of those films that lives in The Vaults!

Cross referencing with this link [stoneslib9.homestead.com] it could be Los Angeles 2 on 11/6/72 although the colour on the film is a bit faded.(By the way, love the way spellchecker tells me i've spelt colour wrongangry smiley)

Emperor Rosko - [en.wikipedia.org]. My dad bought this lp in the 70's where Rosko does his DJ links inbetween classic 60's soul songs.

I remember hearing Emperor Rosko's Rolling Stones Special one Saturday morning on BBC Radio 1 in May 1972, I guess, and he was reporting driving up to see the Stones in what I have always thought to be a location in the south of France although it hindsight it may well have been Montreux. I'm not sure when they started the Montreux rehearsals. Wish I still had a tape of it because it featured some interviews. Anybody else know about it?

Is that Brown Sugar rendition in CS Blues film?? I cannot recall.
But even if NS Blues is asking where the show is from; it is already not even one location because Keith shows up with different guitar half way through.

The principal footage is indeed the 2nd LA Forum show. The brief cutaway shots from behind the band are the 1st SF Winterland show, which accounts for Keith's different guitar and his red t-shirt.

So was this footage shot by Rollin Binzer for Ladies n Gents or by someone else?
I'd love to see the entirety of a'72 show.

This is Robert Frank footage. Pieces he shot at NY and Philly shows also appear in CS Blues.

So this contains "more" than the CS movie that circulates?

I´m still not sure where the audio is from (it´s definitely not LA), I´m guessing it´s Houston #1.
