I just play it in standard using the E and B barre/power whatever chords at the 7th fret. I've played it along with Ladies and Gentlemen, and it sounds right to me. I might not sound exactly like Keith, but then again, I'm not him to begin with. I'm quite satisfied with the sound I get playing it my way.

Hey all,
This you tube video is pretty good. It helped me nail the intro.

I think you need a guitar teacher man. This song is easy.

don't have a slide but here's how I do it;

In open G - capo it at 4th so it's in key of B

Intro - bar 9th fret - three quick downstrokes - first two with the barre, on third use ring finger to hammer on at 11th fret

practise that first till u got it

- then it's one stroke on barre at 9th and the remainder of the lick involves hammering on middle finger on B string at 10th fret same time as ring finger at 11th fret, then off

the second part of the intro pretty much mirrors that, but you can goof around with it, just listen; I dont think KR ever does it the exact same way twice

Verse is open B - with hammer on riffing using first finger on B string, 5th fret, same time as middle finger on D string 6th fret.

For a cool fill slide first finger on 5th fret B string together with middle finger 6th fret G string and slide both to the 7th and 8th frets respectively and back again, and then hammer on first finger on B string, 5th fret, same time as middle finger on D string 6th fret. again just goof around with it and listen.

the other bit is just barring at 9th and picking down the G, B and E strings alternating with an open B chord

super fun song to play

Cheers

If you sing it you need to give up playing the guitar after one verse and sling the guitar to the side.
