Hey, in that painting by Ron's old brother in law - doesn't Charlie look like Boris Yeltsin? LOL
I actually like that lousy painting better than anything by Ron Wood. I don;'t like RW, the painter at all. But, I do like that Ronnie is keeping the tabloid fires burning. He's a Rolling Stone.

The painting is by Paul Karslake and was done to mark the premier of the show True Blood (about vampires) in the UK on the FX channel! It's coming out on Friday, July 17th, and all the proceeds from the auction are going to charity. Good cause..

Never much liked Paul Kerslake's stuff and this must be by far the worst yet! Horrible in the eye of this beholder.

He deserves it for what he did to his wife. And it's not what he did, but the way he did it. A sshole. They all are, except Charlie.

The things said about Ronnie...about his private life. All the bleeding hearts
"..the way he did it.."
I wonder how all the warstories that we all know and tell would have played out had they happened today.

The painter Paul Karslake is the younger brother of Jo Wood. Makes sense that he wants to punish Ronnie in public for dumping his sister in favour of a younger girl. The painter said: "I don't hate the bloke, but I am very annoyed with him.
"Ron's a vampire, all those Rolling Stones guys are. They stay up all night and sleep all day."

Yeah. Just like Berlusconi, Bill Clinton and numerous others.

Actually his painting(s) are as bad as the painting Ron Wood makes.

Ronnie is not Pablo Picasso of course, but he's done quite a few good ones for sure. I certainly wouldn't mind having one of his pics hanging, and I don't say that because it's him makin' 'em. The one from the Licks Tour where they're all taking a bow is a favourite of mine.
Oh and that vampire painting is only for wiping asses. It's not worth the canvas it's printed on. Anybody portraying Ronnie as a vampire is either having a laugh or stupid.

With the objective of actually adding some value to this thread.... the guitar nerds here can finally discover the secret to the "green" guitar that Ronnie used in Copenhagen in 2007 http://www.iorr.org/tour05/copenhagen.htm

This was talked about in the custom guitar thread that I can't now appear to find. I didn't reveal this previously as until published the photo of Ronnie and Paul with the guitar was a private photo.

It was the same night that Keith used the "Skulls" guitar that was much talked about and praised. Paul designed and painted them both specially for Ronnie and Keith.

In my humble opinion Paul is an extremely talented air brush artist which translates amazingly to producing finely painted detail on custom guitars, bikes etc...which is beautifully demonstrated by these two custom guitars. Personally I don't think it works as well on canvas but that is all a matter of opinion.

Yeah Matt. I loved that Keith skull guitar. Actually I saw Pierre walking back to the main stage with it, and there wasn't skulls on the back of it. But there was that '97 pic of Keef with a hat, sunglasses and a ciggy while laughing. Looked purty coolio. I can't find it though. It's from VL or B2B.

BTW: While searching for the pic I was talking about, I came across this hilarious one: [www.freakingnews.com]

Smileys with popcorn.

The painting is quite funny but sad what bitterness and division divorce brings to former friends and relatives.
