I went to Target and bought the T-Shirt/pick/rarities combo and went to WalMart and bought the original Exile release (the one with the Rocks Off, Happy etc).

Nowhere on the outside jacket of the original does it say "remastered". The date of release is 2010.

Did I get the remastered or did they also release a non remastered version of Exile this year as well?

Yep, just to make more money they also released a "unremastered" edition and sent those to Wal-Mart. Sadly to get a remastered version you'll have to go back and buy another one.

I saw that at Wal-mart today. If you look at the price sticker ($10) I believe it states (Rem). So I believe it is the current reissue.

wonder if the wal mart version is censored?

It the remastered version..I can tell from the sound. Sweet Virginia isnt censored. What other songs would be? I doubt Casino Boogie as I doubt any one knew about the "kissing in Cannes" line without reading it.

Why do people keep saying "the original Exile"? Is there another Exile I'm not aware of? Technically the "original Exile" has long been out of print. So you can't buy it 'new' in any store unless you happen to find one that has never been opened in some record store that is not owned by some giant company but rather some old still stankin' hippy.

You either get Exile or you get "the second disc".

no but judging from the sound quality, it is indeed remastered.Also, the disc does not have any tracks listed as opposed to the older versions of the disc. Thank you

The name of the record label isn't anywhere on the back of the case or the spine? I find that incredibly difficult to believe. No copyright symbol with 1972 and the record label after it?
