Dominique TARLE limited # catalogue "Rocks Off"

Yes I know it's not new, thanks Sway winking smiley to be the first one to give us the information!

For the ones who think this catalogue is expensive ( 90 € including shipping) , i have to say that they're wrong !
First , a photographer doesn't live from his work during years, it's only when fame come that he start to earn some bucks, and if a photographer worth the purchase,
Dominique TARLE, for sure is one of them.
But back to this catalogue, got mine yesterday,it's a must have and also the first time that a book with Dominique TARLE's shots is published since EXILE !
The hard cover is fine and all the shots are excellents printed on a cool and nice paper. There's only 41 pictures, but even if the ones from The STONES are well known, the other ones are great too for every true rock'n'roll fan.
It show the early works of Dominique TARLE, beside the others rock stars.

Some pictures from the forthcoming Exhibition Gallery from
May 21 to September 22 in Paris at the Galerie de l'Instant.

it is a must-have indeed! Dominique Tarlé gave it to me as a present last week and signed it, which I consider a great honour.

Tarlé is the ultimate gentleman and he shares his memories of Nellcote very easily as long as you don't request gossips (drugs, sex, bad behaviours).

His book is a must-have. Only 1000 copies world-wide! Don't wait! thumbs up

"Ah, Dominique, great guy. We liked Dominique because he was the most invisible photographer. You never knew he was there, he melted in and became part of the band. I was amazed by the book. I didn't know he'd taken that many pictures."

Thanks!
Just ordered mine. Hope to visit the exhibition in the fall.

Is it possible to buy photos on the exhibition?
Guess they won´t be any cheaper than the ones Tarle sold in London, but I think, in time, I need ONE in my possession.

21.5 cm by 22 cm? That's only about 8.5 inches per side for us Yanks. Rather tiny for 90 Euros.

"Is it possible to buy photos on the exhibition?"

Sure! they're pretty big (60x80cm or more) & very-well printed. They're also stamped and signed by DT and limited (editions o 15 or 25 cannot remember).

This book is indeed the catalogue of another Tarlé exhibition that took place last year.
Not the stuff of the current one, which started yesterday evening.

Was there yesterday. Great exhibit, didn't ask for prices (yet, as I'm going back) Love to have met Tarlé and Russell, both very nice and gentle.

To be honest the place was widely overcrowded and the prices werent to be seen.
I may go back there later again

The Gallerie de l'instant has a website, and it's easy to find (less than 5 min away from the nearset subway station). Let me know once you're sure to go.

Prices from €1200/€2000 if I am correct - had a quick look at the price list. I bought the catalogue (expensive compared to Exile deluxe booklet, but more money goes to Dominique) and the poster for both to sign, as I had left my Exile Deluxe booklet at home - a shame, really.

It was nice to meet Ethan Russell who was really friendly when only a few people were around. When Dominique Tarlé arrived, the gallery was too crowded, and also Dominique looked tired so it was difficult to have a proper talk with him.
