I genuinely don't get any of the complaints about Mick's voice and how a 71/72 Jagger would somehow be better. This song is tremendous, the hook is great and it's sung with genuine emotion. When the backing vocals kicked in for the first time I was totally floored. It's wonderful.

With this entire release I feel like I'm listening to classic vintage Stones, it's a GREAT time to be a fan and enjoy their music.

While this is my least favorite of the new batch, it is growing on me some. In any event I love to hear things like this, as I know all to well how much the right song at the right time can mean. Been there and done that. It always seemed throughout the years that the Stones always had the right song for whatever was going on in my life at the moment. And sometimes we really need that. Good for you !!

this would be great as a soundtrack for a bank commercial. i can see the visuals...or no...better yet? a telethon. kinda we are the world kinda deal. leave your old vocals at the door.....with your persona...ohboy who was in mick's body when he sang this?? he was channeling somebody....ricky martin...someone...
....oh the strings swell and u know what that reminds me of? it reminds me that the streets of love are filled with something. something wet. that's right. tears. they're filled with tears.
well now jags copies steve tyler copying jags. wonderful. exile on rich histrionic fop street.

lends one to believe the exquisite mr. richards was not at all involved with this work of contemporary assemblage...keith how did this get on "YOUR" album??

(keith mebbe not know this track is there....sssshhhhh)

If this song was recorded from 89 on people would hate it. But since it was from 72 it's now a masterpeice.

you're outta touch my baby....

You name is Sweet Neo Con. How much more out of touch can you be than that?

thank you for making my point (again). there seems to be a lot you don't understand.

do any of the new exile songs have vocals from the exile sessions or are they all fresh?

apparently you haven't listened to any of the audio clips yet...there's a distinct difference.

Good TIme Women / Alternate Takes of Soul SUrvivor & Loving CUp.
I was talking about the never heard of tracks, apparently you should read more closely

sorry if there was a misunderstanding but...all 10 are considered "new".

and it been made clear by dozens of sources including MJ...that these "new 1972/2010 songs"
were all instrumentals. in order for there to be vocals there would need to be lyrics..if there
were lyrics, why would MJ write new ones. by the way, did you hear that Mick Taylor made
some contributions to the 1972/2010 tracks. Didn't want to assume. winking smiley

This song ain't bad..... but it's mixed totally wrong!^^
Mick's voice is way to prominent all the time, at around 3:30 he even swerves out of it totally! gargeling.

same with the backing choir and the strings so in front, it could make one blind or saw off your leg.
the acoustic guitar sounds like a big band member in row # 30 - who is it? Mick to hide?
embedding instruments and vocals never happened on EOMS, eh?

dang! Keith should have sat next to Don and Mick. I bet he would have had a word or three about the mix.

I think had the song had a 71/72 Mick vocal it would have been great. Unfortunately, Jagger's new vocals are severely irritating pretty much throughout, and it's really hard to enjoy the song without taking notice of the vocals.

I like the video but Mick's voice is mixed too high & "in front."

1:55-1:59 herniated whale on vocals
3:04-3:12 castrated cat on vocals
and it gets worse later. his range is completely shot, he really shouldve known better. i made a new boot; took 13 nervous breakdowns and added this track, now there are 14 lol.

i agree with sweetcharmed and swaystones
it doesn't move me either and it is the only one of the "new" songs that fails to

on this song i believe mick thought to put the "gospel" touch, so important in exile, but it has no edge, no "sickness" unlike shine a light or just wanna see his face

on the other hand he completely nails I aint signifying in that it turns from delta blues to new orleans barroom just with the add of the horns at the end. a great "review" of exile soundscape

video of FTR is "smart" using the appeal of the "hipstamatic" style so popular among i-phone freaks these days. very up to date style

oh yeah, as flat as rocks off, neighbors, etc sounded during the vegas years, at least he had enough sense not to try to hit the big notes or they would've sounded like this, wtf was he thinking?
