Great, great choices, Gazza. The first two have so much heart and emotion, and the third is possibly the nastiest blues stomper they have ever recorded.
Having said that, I don't know if there is a more satisfying one-two punch in all of rock & roll than "Rocks Off" to "Rip This Joint", except of course "Casino Boogie" to "Tumbling Dice".
I know, that's way more than three.

Exile Week in Holland: reason for a little Exile poll

This week is absolutlely Exile Week in Holland:
Tomorrow (Wednesday) we have an interview on Dutch TV with Mick Jagger.
On Friday Dutch TV will broadcast the documentary Stones in Exile (you've undoubtedly already seen the trailer).
Friday the 14th is the official rerelease date of Exile in Holland and most of us here who have preordered it hope to have what they've ordered on Friday or Saturday.
So this all is a good excuse to have a little Exile poll:
What are your 3 favourite Exile songs? You don't have to mention them in order of preference but of course you can choose to do so. Of course nobody has to explain their choice. It's just fun to know which Exile songs the IORR members like the most. When the rerelease is out everywhere we can have another poll.
Well, my 3 favs are (not in order of preferende, that's too difficult):
- Casino Boogie (it's only too short!)
- Stop Breaking Down (the blues, man)
- Shine a Light (pure beauty)

Even if this sounds like one of those pat littler answers - it is really not: but once any of the 18 tracks starts rolling, it can be, and becomes my favorite.
Because the minute I mention "Let it Loose", I say "how is it better than 'Happy'
? The second I hear 'Happy' it is the best song in the universe. Or "Ventilator Blues".
