Stones' concert reference during Rose Parade broadcast

Yesterday morning I was watching the Rose Parade, as I do every January1. I grew up in LA and lived near Pasadena, so I enjoy seeing SoCal and its sunshine every year.

Anyway, one of the commentators, Bob Eubanks, was a dj and a concert promoter for many years in LA, dating back to the early '60's. When the float from the City of Long Beach passed by, he mentioned that, in 1965, he promoted a Rolling Stones concert in Long Beach and that he sold 4,000 tickets and paid the Stones $4,500.00.

I'd have loved to have been at that show.! Anybody here happen to be there?

Also, I wonder what the Stones get now for a performance!!
