Sway,Hüsker Dü were a three man band from America.

As far as I remember they released on the SST label the Metal Circus EP ( from
which Diane is ) followed by the double LP Zen Arcade around 1984.

After this release they went to a major label and I lost interest...

Especially Zen Arcade is special...some songs are very fast...some called it
hardcore punk...winking smiley

This one is from Zen Arcade, another great one :

Probably my favourite guitar solo ever
Don't you think the horns cover the guitar solo ?
That why I have always beencrazy about the Yo Mama" that Zappa played because each time it seems it can't go further ...but it does .

Strange how much I like the Stooges 'music but I get a kind of physical aversion for Iggy Pop ...not that I am saying he doesn't get a nice body but IMO, the difference between Jagger and Iggy is the same that the one between erotism & pornography .

Can't say I've ever thought about it that way, but I suppose that's how Iggy would probably want it!

Can't hear any horns during the solo unless my ears are playing tricks. What i love about the solo, and i think we agree here,is that just as it looks like it's coming to a natural end it picks up again for a couple of bars before it finishes, much like actually,Taylors solo on Sympathy on Ya Yas

Seems we've grown up musically under similar circumstances, or say that during our adolescence or heyday we've been exposed to similar influences, and, of course it was the same era, the early/mid seventies. Anyhow, it is amazing. And. Sway, even though I don't have that amount of time to spend on the board that I might wish I had, I do appreciate your being round there and your posts. Looks you have become a rather active poster again. Let's enjoy the spring time now that the ice age has finally come to an end.

Here we go:-

I really had a crush on VH first album ,especially Ain't Talking About Love when David Lee Roth cooled it down on "I been to the edge and there I stood and looked down "

It's very kind of you .
Yes, there are a lot of these numbers /songs/bands that many of us seem to love too.It reminds me how great the bands from the 70's were ....
Yeah,I know I can be very verbose when I post on IORR ..it's because I like it !
Some months to go ,summer holidays and I'll give IORR some days off /rest :-)))))

All songs from U2 did you say ?
There are no songs from U2 that move me but I must confess some of them sound nice to my ears ,especially this one :

"your precious love "
