Wasn't there a George slide solo uncovered on Here Comes the Sun on the multi-track tapes when they were being reviewed by George Martin and Macca during the Anthology series? peace

Nope, it is more a leslie type solo that he was doing during the Let it Be sessions.

According to Lennon this was the best solo that Harrison played:-) Ironic...

I remember at the time the offer was made George saying "I'm not going to turn down MY share of $50 million."

George didn't like to perform publicly.

I think it almost happened a few times between 70-80. Yoko thwarted some efforts. I think Lennon-McCartney was on good terms in 1976 but George and John were on bad terms that year. Ringo was off doing his thing.

Drinking with Keith Moon.

Well, not DRUNK teenyboppers.

I always thought his great line in the Anthology was "THIS is Candlestick Park."
I've used that line a few times when I'm around people I want to get away from.

A lot of people crapped all over Free as a Bird and Real Love. They probably would have done the same for a reunion. They were smart in not doing it. Keeps the legacy intact and the memories (relatively) happy.

if lennon had lived, there is no doubt in my mind, there would have been a beatle reunion, sooner or later, probably sooner, he was about to go on the road with double fantasy, eventually all 4 would have been on good terms and it would have happened
