Mine was 'Stickey Fingers' in the summer of 1971. Still one of my favorite albums of all time!

Undercover and Rewind, when I was just a little kid. I was young and just getting into the Stones and remember She's the Boss coming out shortly after with the videos for Hard Woman, Lucky in Love and Just Another Night being played all over MTV.

Through the past darkly - 1972 - great record.

The first number I heard was Honky Tonk Women - my brother bought a couple of years earlier....

Jumping Jack Flash

For me this was a new dimension in music.

In 1980 I was 15, and a big Beatles fan. My mother bought me 4 7" vinyl singles as a Stones introduction - Satisfaction, Jumping Jack Flash, Get Off My Cloud, & The Last Time. This was the beginning of an obsession for me & my 2 brothers. My first purchase was an album with half live songs (including, appallingly, a studio song with dubbed cheering over it!) and half hits - can't remember the name.

Some Girls in the spring of 1978 was my first Stones album. I remember the hit Miss You, the second single Respectable was even better. Since then I got hooked to the Stones.

My dad had Big hits, high tide and green gras. Me and and my brother listen to it often. Then I began to listen to more through friends and suddenly I bought Sticky Fingers, Let It Bleed and Goats Head Soup. That was in 1989 and I was 15 years old.

Nineteenth Nervous Breakdown was the first Stones single i bought and Rolled Gold the first album in around 1980. I bought the Beatles records first. I really liked them at the time but when i heard Rolled Gold i immediately preferred the Stones.

T H E * H E A D * O F * T H E * G O A T

Like ol´ Keef use(d?) to say; "if ya cant afford buy it, then nick it"
(At least that approximately what he sometimes states)...
Nah, didnt steal, really...
But after a hard days night and some heavy boozing I found GHS one day in my lousy bachelor flat. It was as late as in 1988... f´Cause; I was already past 24 y.o. at the moment, I have listened to Stones the easiest mainstream-way (this in fact went on until my deep-diving into the issue while makin radio shows last autumn in -04: now I´m stuck as a growin hard core fan).
Thus: Goats Head Soup. It´s still my favorite, yet I like Woody and Jonesy as much as I can enjoy a high class solo from ol´ Taylor. A friend left it at a party. He nicked in his turn a vinyl with Dutch group Exception... Tobbe, you bummer, dirty bagger, monkey man & junkie man; I hope you dont read this!
First bought record? I have to admit I still havent bought any Stones album*. But I have all the official ones plus quite a few others & solos. The secret is: Become a radio show program leader & get yourself burning gear.

* But; I do buy Stones-related products: Books on Andrew and Keith, for a starter... And behind our sofa you find a fine book Rolling With The Stones by William Perks, or Bill Wyman.

I was 15, in 1990, when I bought Sticky Fingers. I had no idea that I was buying one of the best records of the Stones.

Somewhere around mid 1964 paid $5.25 for a copy of the first album The Rolling Stones Mono LKA4605. Still own it actually, covers a lil ragged but record still plays fine.

I bought Voodoo Lounge, Still Life and Jump Back at the same time. It was back in 1998 I remember. And I'm still hooked after all these years like everybody else.

The album "Around and around". And that was a long, long time ago, back in 1964 actually. So I´ve with them the whole time. Around and around was a compilation of the early singles and EPs released in the European continent. You never got it in the UK or the States. The tracks were (around & around, good times, bad times; it´s all over now;empty heart;confessin the blues; Not fade away;Bye,bye Johnny; You better move on;I wanna be your man;2120 S.M.Avenue;If you need me; Poison Ivy). And listening to it at that time, I can tell you that was a religious experience! Blues was for me as for I guess most people in Europe something totally unknown at that time. I played in over and over again and started to save money so I could by there first album as well. An LP cost a lot of money at that time.
