Some of the most well known examples are in the Martin Scorcese gangster films, but in your opinion what is your favourite usage of a rolling stones in fictional film or television?

Personally i really loved Monkey Man in Goodfellas, such a great song.
Also Jumping jack flash in Mean Streets and Gimme Shelter in Goodellas and The Departed.

All quite obvious choices, but really good.

All songs in Scorsese's movies are fine, but it was great to see "Let's spend the night together" in "The boat that rocked", too.

Is it true that Martin Scorsese has used Gimme Shelter in every one of his films except Shine a Light?

A couple of years ago the BBC wildlife series Autumnwatch followed a group of stags during the mating season - lots of spectacular footage of antler-to-antler fighting and so on. But even the winner couldn't get the females to have anything to do with him until they were in the mood: cue a montage of shots of the poor beast getting the brush-off again and again.

Soundtrack? I can't get NO satisfaction!

No that is not true, but he did use it in Goodfellas, Casino and The Departed.
Mick Jagger made the joke that Shine a Light was the first Scorcese film not to include Gimme Shelter

YGAGWYW is used at the end of an episode of House to good effect, Hugh Laurie had missed out on something or other as usual...

On TV it's "Saint of Me" in "Nurse Jackie" - my favourite nurse...
And just about every Scorsese-movie has a good score - good Stones choices.

I liked their version of "I'm Free" in their advertising for Chase Bank.
