I just read KR is on Lee Perry's "Scratch Came, Saw, Conquered", released this week. Anybody heard it? Haven't bought anything 'new' from Scratch in a long time....

Totally bizarre to me that this comes up because my boyfriend's afrobeat band has been asked to be LSP's backup band for one upcoming show - I had never heard of him before this. I'd better urge him to do it!

he was quite popular in reggae-digging circles in Poland in the early 80s
so please wave at him for me when you have a chance, guitarbastard :E

I know he use to live in Switzerland. He is the father of reggae.A great producer and artist in his own right.Check out the 3 disc Arkology,The Upsetter, and the Upsetter singles collection.

Saw him a few years ago at the Ocean scene. He came on smoking a whacking great reefer.Theres a thin line between bullshit and genius and he treads it well.Catch him if u can.

I will certainly get the new cd featuring Keef.Would love to know how that collaboration came about. It must have been a total hoot in the studio!!!

my bfriend's band plans to turn down being his band for the one night but they are opening up for him in vermont.

one reason they're not learning his music for one gig is b/c he supposedly skips going to 25% of his scheduled shows!

It's kind of sweet that on the back cover he thanks not only Keith and Jane rose, but also Micks kids, Luke, Gabriel and Georgia. And Jane's two dogs!
Guess they all helped creating a nice atmosphere.
