Does anybody think that the Stones should do a Beatles Love style album?
Date: March 25, 2010 23:00

Perhaps the vocal from Jumping Jack Flash over the instrumental track from She's A Rainbow. It could be huge.

IMO, the only way the Stones will sell records in huge quantities again, unfortunately, will be if Mick or Keith die.

Copying the Beatles? Bad idea on so many levels. 'LOVE' was a surprisingly great CD though.

Everything the Beatles did or do was/is great

Remixing some songs in 5.1 - interesting, but not essential. (SFTD is the only 5.1 stones track I am aware of)

A "Love" style production, with people in long underwear running around, dancing to medleys of Stones tracks. Absolutely not.

Indeed Sympathy for the Devil is the only one.

i like it. some songs are better mixed together than the originals.

to do that with stones songs would be great too.

Yup more words of wisdom from meekscary...
But I agree no. Love is a great album and very interesting, but the Stones should release a new album while they are still working together.

"Does anybody think that the Stones should do a Beatles Love style album?"

I try to avoid thinking about such things at all costs.

I think it would be fun to hear what could be done with some Stones tracks especially when remixed in 5.1 sound, but I would prefer to hear some of the original albums remixed at least in Stereo, and a few in 5.1,

They allready did it on the last tour : Keith playing the chords of a song and Mick singing the lyrics of another one grinning smiley

Perhaps a better question would be - "should the Stones collaborate with Cirque Du Soleil to produce a stage show"? The answer is probably NO!
It worked for The Beatles as the imagery of their pop songs lends itself to being brought to life on stage. That and the genious of George and Giles Martin makes the LOVE show well worth seeing, a very trippy and surreal experience. On at The Mirage in Las Vegas.

I think there was a musical/stage show done on the songs of the Stones a couple of years ago.

It tanked.

You're right about the imagery in the Beatles songs and about the Martins however.
