I just did a series of pieces for Travel Channel's World Hum web site - here's the first - Altamont is there - as are the Waiting on a Friend steps

HB, is there more video from you to see? I like those then/now things you do a lot.
The 315 Bowery address front sums up today's NYC for me.
This was also the first time I really 'read' the words to LA Woman. "...Or just another lost soul in the City of Night".

I love it, a very good piece. There must be tons more of sites and landmarks to view and be discovered.

I would like to see a old picture of a stage or some kind of actual scene shot superimposed over the "now" picture to give the viewer a better perspective of what they are looking at, from the then and now perspective.

No offense, but couldn't you tell from the picture on the album's back cover that Big Pink wasn't a lavish, hot pink, rock-n-roll Taj Mahal?

boogie--yeah, but the timing is a bit out of context--the first time i saw it i was a teenager and hadn't paid attention at all to the album cover - just always heard about "big pink" - but your point is fair - i should have clarified that --thank you for taking the time to watch it

--

Sicilian--i'll dig some comparisons up - i have them - so you know, the shot i took is from the site of the stage looking out - the band's viewpoint

(and yeah, there are hundreds of places like this - i wrote a book, "led zeppelin crashed here" that includes many of them)
