New York Dolls in Glasgow

I saw the Dolls in Glasgow the other day. One of the last great rock n roll bands and playing brilliantly. Sami Yaffa and Steve Conte had big shoes to fill, but the chemistry is now great. The were already very good 2 years ago, but now its awesome.
They played most of the recent album they made, if The Stones caught this show it would for sure give them something to think about. If the Stones had played 8 Bigger Bang songs in their set with such intensity, how great would that have been?
The Glasgow audience were of course the best as always

I just picked up the recently released Live At The Fillmore East recorded last December. It is scorching. Not just a tour souvenir, it really rocks.

It leads off with the best version of Babylon I have ever heard.winking smiley

I'm tired, I'm tired of doing what I'm told.
Things are moving way too slow.

Anyone know if they're playing London besides the Morrissey show?

It's okay to say the Dolls are playing mostly new stuff but they only have three studio albums to choose from !

Thats true. I was thinking though that Bigger Bang and One Day.... were both released around the same time and have similarities, i.e a classic rock band making a record with up to date production. I just prefer to see a bands set more based towards a recent record, with a few oldies rather than the other way round. Now I think of it, it comes from growing up in the seventies, where bands always toured the new album and the gig was a promotion for that album, those were the days smiling smiley
