I recently bought a scanner and I've been putting in some of my old photos. I ran across a few of the pics I took at the Atlanta stop of the Voodoo Lounge tour. I used to get photo passes in college because I would cover shows for a regional music rag. Didn't make any money but I got tix and photo passes. That was enough for me. Here are a few of the shots I grabbed. I took something like 6 rolls in three songs. I won't post them all. I'll post some of the black and white ones I took later. Maybe a few more color shots as I run across them. Kind of cool to come across these old photos. Since they were taken by me, I'm pretty sure they are exclusive and never seen by anyone except my friends. I guess a couple made it into the review but honestly I don't remember which. Enjoy!
Thanks for the shout out, Shawn. I was there the second night (Melody?). They even put us on the big screen (5 of us had t-shirts spelling out KEITH - the master saw us and pointed, next thing ya know!). We were on the 10th row right in front - 2 cool!
Glad you are enjoying them...It's funny to me how times have changed for me personally. Nowadays, if the Stones are playing multiple nights in my town or near my time I have to go to both shows. Can't believe I only went to one of these. I'll try to get some more photos up this weekend. I won't put too many more up. No need to overdue it. I remember some of the black and white film turned out really cool. There's one black and white photo of Keith posing for me(as they did for the photographers) and I was so nervous the picture was so blurry. Would have been the best shot ever. I even remember borrowing a massive camera from a photoshop and panicked when the first roll was shot and I couldn't figure out how to change the film. A comedy of errors at the lip of the stage. Ah, youth...
We saw the show on that tour in Columbia, SC. That was a Great Tour! thanks for sharing the images with all of us! very cool shots indeed! Ronnie's outfit is Killer! Fred Hardin Pleased to meet you.......
Hey, I love that pics which you normally can't find in the internet. There are oodles of pics from Licks and especially ABB in the www but - of course - not much stuff from B2B or Voodoo...so: thank you very much!
soundcheck, I've got some good pictures taken that night, including a dynamite shot of Keith kneeling and the light reflecting off of his guitar.
These pictures were taken by a professional photographer friend (actually cousin) who slipped his gear in. Ill try to get 'em posted when I figure out how!
He also shot at the BTB Atlanta show and the No Security Charlotte show.
That would be Awesome Elmo! I'd love to see them! We were about 12 seats away from B-Stage Ronnie's side in the GA dome for the BTB show. Saw the No Securty show in Tampa. I'll keep any eye out for them! Have a great weekend all! Fred Hardin Pleased to meet you........
